Privacy Policy

How Thrifty Kiwi collects, uses, and protects your information.

This policy covers how Thrifty Kiwi (operated by Eric Hislop, Wellington, New Zealand) handles personal information. It is written in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you send an email enquiry, we collect your name, email address, and any other details you choose to provide (such as your business name or project description). The website preview tool processes your answers locally in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere until you choose to email a summary.

We do not use cookies for tracking, and we do not run advertising or analytics scripts.

How we use it

Your information is used only to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project. We do not add you to any mailing list, share your details with third parties, or use them for any other purpose without your consent.

Third-party services

The site uses Google Fonts, which loads font files from Google’s servers. Google may collect basic request data (IP address, browser type) as part of serving these files. See Google’s privacy policy for details.

Storage and retention

Enquiry data is retained only as long as needed to complete our conversation. We do not maintain a customer database. Email correspondence is deleted when it is no longer relevant.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it. To make a request, email eric.l.hislop@gmail.com.

If you have a complaint about how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
