About
Hey, I’m Eric.
I’m a software engineer based in Wellington, and I build websites for New Zealand businesses.
During the day I write code professionally. In my own time I’ve been building websites (everything from coupon sites to childcare centres) because I genuinely enjoy it, and because I think too many NZ small businesses are either paying way too much for a basic website or going without one entirely.
That’s why I started Thrifty Kiwi. The name says it all: good websites at fair prices. No agencies, no account managers, no fluff. Just me, building your site with care and attention to detail.
Why work with me?
You’re not a ticket number. I’m a real person. When you email me, I reply. When you have a question, I answer it in plain English.
I keep costs low on purpose. I use modern, open-source tools that don’t need expensive hosting or licensing fees. Those savings get passed on to you.
I actually care about the result. Every site I build is one I’m happy to put my name on. Your site is my portfolio piece too.
When I’m not coding, you’ll find me wrangling the kids, hunting for deals (old habits die hard), or gaming when the house finally goes quiet.
